Ingredients:

  • 1 (4-5 lb) brisket
  • 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons liquid smoke
  • 1/3 cup Worchestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce

Directions:

Sprinkle beef with seasoning salt. Place in a shallow dish. Pour liquid smoke and Worchestershire sauce over meat. Cover with foil and refrigerate 8 hours, turning once. Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 4 hours or until tender. Pour off liquid reserving 1/2 cup. Mix with barbecue sauce. Pour over beef. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes. To serve, slice across grain into thin slices.

WassailThe best thing about cold weather is drinking wassail.

Get a big pot.  Put in:

  • 2 parts apple juice
  • 1 part cranberry juice
  • 1 part orange juice
  • throw in some allspice
  • throw in a few cinammon sticks

Heat it up, without boiling, letting it soak up the cinammon and allspice.  Lovely.

Here’s a quick way to graph a two-column Comma Separated Values file, where the first column points to the second.  I use this for email virtual mappings.
